Important information for Students and Parents regarding the District Thespian Individual Events Registration.
Please ready everything carefully before going on line and registering.
ALL STUDENTS ATTENDING AS PART OF TROUPE 5742 WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK DURING THE FESTIVAL WHEN NOT PERFORMING OR PRESENTING.
ALL STUDENTS AND CHAPERONES are expected to join the District Remind group by texting @ies5742 to 81010
Performers/presenters
- WITH THE EXCEPTION OF LARGE GROUP MUSICALS AND PANTOMIMES, all performers and presenters must register by Sunday night at 11:59.
- PUNCTUATION AND SPELLING MATTER. Capitalize the first letter of your name. Be sure your titles are spelled correctly.
- ALL performers / presenters are required to be at PIEs to have their pieces screened.
- Registration Fee is $65 which includes your Shirt
- We encourage you to pay with a credit/debit card at the time of purchase. It streamlines the registration process and ensures we have a payment before we have to write a check to the district. If you prefer to write a check or pay in cash, just close the payment window AFTER registration and send it in as soon as possible.
- Anyone needing assistance with the registration fee, please see Mr. Paris as soon as possible to discuss options.
- When you register, follow the directions CAREFULLY as to how to enter the titles of your piece(s).
- YOU MUST check off ANYTHING for which you even SUSPECT your piece should receive an asterisk. Check all that apply for each piece.
- Double check your registration BEFORE clicking the submit button.
- DO NOT INVITE YOUR FRIENDS/SIGNIFICANT OTHER TO ATTEND THE FESTIVAL!! ONLY STUDENTS APPROVED BY MR. PARIS ARE ALLOWED TO ATTEND.
Observers only
- IF you KNOW you want to go, BUT you are not performing or presenting, you MUST register as an observer and pay the registration fee – EVEN if you are only coming to help. This is a requirement of the District – we cannot get the fee waived.
Parents
- I cannot emphasize the following enough – NO PARENT MAY VISIT THE FESTIVAL WITHOUT REGISTERING AS A CHAPERONE AND PAYING THE $15 REGISTRATION FEE! THERE WILL BE NO DAY PASSES AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE. You must include your desire to be a chaperone on your child’s registration page.
- It is possible that I can get a few courtesy passes for parents helping serve lunch – I have not been given a number so there are no guarantees.
- IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO REGISTER AS A CHAPERONE AND ASSIST DURING THE FESTIVAL, make sure to see the performances at PIEs on September 19, 2017. That is the only other way to see the performances.
- SIBLINGS AND FRIENDS OF YOUR STUDENT ARE NOT ALLOWED AT THE FESTIVAL! THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
- We have had parents ignore these rules in the past and it has caused great problems for our troupe. ANY VIOLATION OF THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN YOUR CHILD BEING BARRED FROM THESPIAN FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES. IF YOU INTEND TO “SNEAK INTO” THE FESTIVAL, AND IT IS DISCOVERED, YOUR STUDENT WILL BE BARRED FROM FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES FOR ONE YEAR.
